The 2012 Hyundai Veloster is an original looking hatchback aimed at capturing the younger drivers. Hyudnai made sure to add to the 2012 Hyundai Veloster that will appeal to the busy lifestyle that the younger crowd can appreciate. One of the unusual features is a trick third door that dove tails into the front-hinged rear door on the passenger’s side of the car. This is helpful when loading or unloading the car with any variety of work or sports equipment, groceries, or people headed for the third row seating.

It offers a humble 123 pound feet of torque and 138 horsepower, not a good car for racing around in, but the up to 40 highway miles per gallon, most drivers won’t mind getting from 0 to 60 in just under 9 seconds.

The tech package is an additional $2,000 and the dual-clutch box is another $1,250, which comes up to about $23,325 for a complete set of options. While this is in direct competition with more powerful and still efficient compacts such as the Chevy Cruze, the styling and third door set it apart.
