The 2013 BMW X6 M is the latest addition to one of BMW’s more eccentric vehicles. While it is referred to as a “Sports Activity Coupe” and has the features to back that statement up, it is one of the most unusual looking breeds coming out of the BMW stables. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. In fact the X6 M has an eye-catching appeal that is sure to catch on fast. Very similar to the previous model, with a few updates that make a noticeable difference.

The 2013 BMW X6 M has a new “power bulge” hood that was obviously directly inspired from the now obsolete BMW X6 ActiveHybrid. The BMW signature kidney grille and headlights got a quick refresh and the standard HID beams share the feature’s list with LED headlight options available. The brake calipers were painted “M Blue” which adds a dash more sportiness and the sports front seats now come standard so you don’t have to pay anything extra for the added comfort.

As far as driving, expect some action in this Sports Activity Coupe. The 4.4 liter V8 engine in the 2013 BMW X6 M gives a road burning 555 horsepower and 500 pound feet of torque. This will take you from 0 to 60 in about 4/5 seconds, although you will top out at 155 miles per hour due to electronic limitations. Honestly though, when does the typical driver get the opportunity to top out at anything close to that? You will want to have a generous gas budget for this Beamer though. The EPA rates it at only getting 12 city miles per gallon and 17 highway miles per gallon.

The starting price for this new offering from BMW starts at $93,795 and that does include the destination fee. The cost will climb quickly though depending on which options you choose. You can watch the video to see this fellows reaction when he discovers the price.
