While BMW has a reputation for building, elegant and stylish cars, it looks as if they are bumping up their personality to add a bit of ingenious quirkiness in their design language with the 2013 BMW X6 M. This model is being called a “Sports Activity Coupe” and the label seems to fit true to form of the car’s design. It has an unusually shaped, chopped roof styling that is popular with crossovers, but comes across as unique and almost festive on this latest BMW offering.

When BMW says a Sports Activity Coupe, they mean it and there is a high performance variant in the 2013 BMW X6 M that more than proves it and it seems the rest of the car is built around this very concept. It has a 4.4 liter V8 that gives a powerful 555 horsepower and 500 pound feet of torque, enough to out drive many of the sports cars coming out. It will do 0 to 60 in about 4.5 seconds and will cruise comfortably at a top speed of 155 miles per hour. The EPA is currently set to 12 city miles per gallon and 17 highway miles per gallon which is not going to make you very happy when it comes to having to visit the pumps very often, but if you don’t have to rely on this car for heavy commuting, it could be a great addition for special event cruising and road trips.

The interior is expectedly high quality with thick bolstered sports seats and an unusually thick steering wheel just begs for speed. The starting price for the 2013 BMW X6 M is set at $93,795 including destination. A hefty price but should be well worth it for those looking to experience a powerful and fun driving style. The video will show you just how much fun it can be, but we suggest you refrain from speeding around your own roadways in this fashion unless you have a lot of extra cash for the traffic infractions.
