The Paris Motor Show is just a few days away, but many automakers can’t wait to tease us all with what they have in mind for their upcoming debuts at this annual premiere event. Honda is no different and from the preview peek of the new 2013 Honda CR-Z we can understand why. It looks as if the new CR-Z is going to be a contender in its class for style and appeal.

Of course Honda is staying quiet about the overall details of the 2013 Honda CR-Z but they are confirming a few things. For one, they promise that both the gasoline motor and electric motor have a boost over the previous CR-Z and that the boost did not compromise the fuel economy or emissions performance in the 1.5 liter four cylinder engine and electric motor. This is great news because the 122 horsepower that the CR-Z was getting was a big letdown after seeing how sporty this car looks. Of course with a 1.5 liter engine, you can’t expect it to keep up with some of the bigger motors being released, but getting a little more power will be a welcome addition to an otherwise zippy looking vehicle.

From the image we can tell that there are some interesting updates that should help the 2013 Honda CR-Z better appeal to Honda drivers. This includes the strip of LED lighting under the HID headlights. It’s also apparent that a new honeycomb inert grille has been added to replace the upper slats from its older version. We are sure there is quite a bit more to report on about this new addition to the Honda family, but we’ll all have to wait until the official debut in Paris next week. In the meantime, CR-Z fans can certainly dream about what their new ride has in store for them.
