Photos have been leaked and we have all been teased about the 2013 Lexus LS line for quite some time now, through it all Lexus was careful to keep the juicier details about the new LS line for the official unveiling in San Francisco. While we couldn’t see too many updates to the body outside of the spindle grille, it looks like there is a lot to get excited about for the four version lineup. These vehicles include the Lexus LS 460, LS 460L, LS 600hL hybrid, and the first-ever LS 460 F SPORT. The LS 460 and LS 460L are available in rear wheel drive and all wheel drive and the LS Hybrid is available with a full-time AWD system.
The interior of all four Lexus LS models hosts a 12.3 inch nav screen which features split screen capability and is set off to perfection by the “Driver Focused Interior”. There is a remote touch system that has a mouse type of controller next to the shift level to go along with the steering wheel controls. This can operate most of the car’s features without the driver having to take attention off the road. All four models also have increased body rigidity to offer stability for a more comfortable ride with an enhanced pitch and bounce control for better road hugging action.
Back to the interior though, passengers weren’t forgotten about when it comes to luxury and there is a Lexus Climate Control that controls the ambient temperature that includes steering wheel temperature with individual controls for each seat. A Blind Spot Monitor has been added and is activated when the car hits ten miles per hour. You can choose from Ivory, Light Gray, Black, Black and Saddle Tan, and a newly available Topaz Brown and match it with wood highlights including Walnut, Shimamoku Espresso, Matte Brown Bird’s Eye Maple. The LS 600h L also has an eco- friendly Bamboo wood trim that as an option.
