When you take your first look at the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S you might not think there is much difference between it and its previous year’s model. But you would be guessing wrong because there has been some major updates to the new 911 Carrera. You have to keep in mind that over 100 years of history is behind the 911 and the design is not to be rethought, rather it is to be cultivated and that is exactly what Porsche did for their latest new release.

There is a new level of luxury in the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S that had been missing in the older models. It has an all new Panamera inspired interior that gives the 911 a feeling of refinement and comfort including a reduced vibration that gives the cabin a quieter driving experience. The exhaust drone is gone as well and the sporster is almost silent. Of course if you want the sound, you can have it through a Sport button that is strategically placed on the center console that you can push to choose your sound choice. Perhaps sporty for fun day to day driving and quiet for date night driving? The steering is also reengineered with a new electric power steering unit.

The dynamics have also gotten an overhaul which makes the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S one of the most high performing cars available. While it’s not the fastest by any means, it is still impressive and will outdrive most cars available. About 415 horsepower will take you from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package. Of course it is a Porsche and the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S doesn’t come cheaply. You will want to plan on spending around $96,000 to drive your own new model home.
