The 2014 Subaru Forester is hot news for crossover fans and while it is scheduled to debut at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show this month, Subaru can’t wait to show it off. This image is a hint of what you can expect. This is a fourth generation vehicle for the Forester lineup and Subaru as promised that this one will have a more aggressive exterior and roomy interior without taking away from the previous version’s efficiency ratings.

Drivers who are looking at adding a 2014 Subaru Forester to their shopping list can choose from two different engine choices. There is a 2.5 liter four cylinder BOXER, naturally aspirated engine that will offer 170 horsepower and 174 pound feet of torque. That sounds particularly sluggish, but should be good to go for cautious soccer moms. If you want power, you will definitely want to choose the 2.0 liter four cylinder BOXER, direct fuel injection, turbocharging intercooler engine. This one is more assertive with 250 horsepower and 258 pound feet of torque. EPA ratings have not been released for either of these; although Subaru is promising that they will be better than average range, and improved from what you would expect out of their Forester lineup.

The interior of the 2014 Subaru Forester is something for fans to get excited about as it’s roomier than the previous versions with increased rear seat leg room and an enlarged cargo area. There is also a full house of features to choose through including in-demand infotainment features, including smartphone integration, navigation, rear view camera and harman/kardon premium audio amplifier and speakers.

Other details for this new offering from Subaru will come available after the official debut during the Los Angeles Auto Show.
