The BMW Group is proud to announce that they are still in excellent health. The Group posted a total of 475,011 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand cars sold during the second quarter of 2012. The total for the first half of the year was 900,539. That is an increase of 5.4% for the quarter and an 8.1% increase for the first half of the year. With those figures in place, the BMW Group has once again been given the opportunity to boast that they are the world’s leading manufacturer of premium vehicles.
Their motorcycle division also posted an overall sales increase for the first half of the year, coming in with an increase of 0.5%. The BMW and Husqvarna brand motorcycles suffered a decrease in sales for the second quarter of 4.2%, but still had that small increase for the first six months of this year.
