For those of you who have never heard of HyperFest, it is called the Automotive Amusement Park. This annual event is every car lover’s dream with activities all about cars, well almost. If you consider a Daisy Duke Contest and Tribute Band’s as part of the fun, but the other events are definitely all about vehicles. This year’s events included:

You can’t have an event like this without America’s favorite super sports cars on the scene and that is exactly what the Corvette Z06 was doing there. The driver, James Greenwood was cruising around the Summit Point circuit at full speed ahead from start to finish, or at least that was his intention. At the Turn One braking zone a deer decided to make a grand appearance, right into the windshield of this hot and sexy beast of a drive.
The video captures the action and embarrassingly enough shows Greenwood totally not paying attention to what was going on in front of him. If that weren’t bad enough, Greenwood complained, ”The HyperFest emcee told ten thousand Hillbillians that I was responsible for the thirty minute Daisy Duke delay.”
From the looks of it, beyond the windshield the Corvette Z06 made it through the deer impact without too much damage and Greenwood wasn’t injured either. We only hope the deer made it through to the other side and is now avoiding anything that has to do with high speed races. Overall, it is a good reminder that while not accidents are avoidable, it helps to keep your eyes on the road at all times.
