Honda is on a mission to earn 39 million customers worldwide through sales of their power equipment, cars and motorcycle lines and their goal is to do it by 2017. Takanobu, Honda CEO recently made the announcement and talked about the plans Honda has to reach their goals. He confirmed that the Honda Acura RLX will in fact debut in its production form at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, but that sounds as if that will be about it for American Honda Fans. Europe however has quite a bit more to look forward to. China and India will also both have some new Hondas showing up on their roadways with ten new or updated models in China by 2016 and a new diesel model for India by 2014.

The next generation Honda Fit, aka Jazz will be showing up in Europe within two years. These subcompact crossover versions are being built at a brand new assembly plant based close to Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. A new Honda Civic Type R, as you see pictured above is coming back to Europe after a five year hiatus and will hit the dealerships sometime in 2015. Not too much information is being released about this high output Civic model but the rumor is circulating that it will be the “fastest front-wheel-drive vehicle on the Nürburgring”. That sounds like a challenge for other automakers to step up their game to stay in the competition.

Along with all the automotive plans Honda also has plans to develop a brand new super sports motorcycle. The goal with this bike is to make sure it offers the same excitement and passion as the RC30 super sports bike that they first released back in 1987. Again, there is not a lot in regard to details, but it is said that it will have technology from the Honda MotoGP machines.
