Jeep is Going to Keep Their Plant Running Over the Holidays Due to Strong Wrangler and Liberty Sales

The only automotive plants that is going to keep running from the Detroit Three is the ones in Toledo, Ohio. It is the birthplace of the Jeep brand and Toledo’s wealth is rising and falling with the successes and failures of Chrysler’s off road marque, and this year, the automobile manufacturer is going to be seeking out volunteers that will continue assembling their hot selling Wrangler and Liberty SUVs.

According to Automotive News, no other plant that is operated in America is going to working during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Toledo plants are the only places where the building of the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Liberty takes places, and both of them have been selling with impressive numbers in the 2011 year. With only one month left out of the year, Jeep has sold 111,045 Wranglers, which is up 29% over the 2010 year. Also, the Liberty is seeing even larger numbers, seeing as how their percentage is up 36% versus the 2010 year, with 60,523 units sold.
