The Paris Motor Show is officially underway and all the automakers have their brand new versions buffed, polished and ready to be shown off by the Paris Motor Show models. Lexus is certainly no exception and their official Lexus Press Conference featuring the Lexus LF-CC Concept was yesterday first thing in the morning to talk about the future of the brand and their great new concept sedan, which looks as if Lexus is determined to create a sensation.
The Lexus LF-CC is wider and lower than it appears in the picture and has an almost intimidating stance with a distinctively crisp design. Of course the oversized spindle grille is the first thing you notice and you have to think that it is just a hint of the power and performance that the quick peak hints at. Apparently some of these new design elements will show up on the next generation IS as well including uncovered LED headlights, Baroque mirrors and taillights and a front end that is predominantly about intake.
Once you get past admiring the sleek and prowling like exterior, you can remember that there is an interior to take a gander at as well. Lexus has gone out of their way with the Lexus LF-CC Concept to add the next level in touchscreen interiors and what you see if a Human Machine Interface that is specifically broken into an upper “Display Zone” and lower “Operation Zone”. The display zone also has a “touch tracer display” that is strategically placed just behind the shift lever so the driver can adjust the passenger environment with a fingertip.
The great news about the Lexus LF-CC concept is that Lexus has confirmed it will become a production model. It should have a 2.5 liter injected four cylinder four cylinder engine mated with an electric motor and a generator. All of this is tied to a “brain” that optimizes where the power will come from and where it goes for the ultimate performance.
