When you think of luxury cars, Lincoln is a classic and the all new Lincoln MKZ Hybrid is not only focused on keeping the legend alive, it is also focused on becoming fuel efficient and better for the environment. It still doesn’t match up to the Ford Fusion Hybrid, but that’s like comparing apples to oranges because the MKZ is built for luxury and the Fusion is built for fun driving. Of course, you are only looking at a difference of two miles a gallon. The EPA has rated the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid at 45 city miles per gallon, 45 highway miles per gallon and 45 combined. The Ford Fusion gets 47 miles per gallon.

Even though the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid gets two gallons less per mile than the Ford Fusion, it is still enough to rate it as first in its class for fuel efficiency. It beats its closest competitor, the Lexus ES Hybrid by a whopping five miles per gallon.

Jim Farley, Group Vice President, Global Marketing, Sales and Service said, “The all-new MKZ Hybrid proves that thoughtful customers who prioritize fuel economy and reducing emissions do not need to compromise on luxury, driving quality or advanced technology. MKZ is our strongest proof yet on what the reinvented Lincoln stands for – beautiful vehicles with compelling and warm experiences that create a clear alternative in today’s increasingly competitive luxury marketplace.”

Additional beauty of the Lincoln MKZ is that the hybrid is the same price as the non-hybrid model. It of course has the best quality, well, everything. Standard features are loaded with of course a lot of other options to pick and choose through as well. This new Lincoln will join its stable of luxury sedans at the dealerships later this year. Pricing and additional information will be disclosed closer to the sales date.
