The Paris Motor Show will be kicking off later this month, promising to show the world some of the greatest automotive innovations and concepts. But some automakers are not waiting until then to give everyone a peek at what they have been up to. Lexus is one of them, giving all of us a look at their LF-CC concept ahead of the official debut.
The Lexus LF-CC is a new two-door hybrid coupe that features some of the LF-LC design concepts that debuted at the Detroit Motor show back in January of this year. There is some speculation that the LF-CC Concept could be a preview of the next-generation Lexus IS to be introduced later on in the near future.
Without seeing an actual production vehicle, it’s difficult to determine how much of the previous Lexus styling will materialize in the LF-CC. But the general consensus is that they will keep the triple LED headlights, spindle grille and intricate taillights that lend to a transfer for a road-going Lexus vehicle.
In the past few years, Lexus has introduced other hybrid models in their lineup, most recently the ES. Given the fact that the automaker commonly leans toward hybrids these days, it appears that they may offer a variation of the IS as well.
The LF-CC features a new 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain under the hood, with other technologies that help to reduce fuel consumption. Lexus says they will continue to use that powertrain in their lineup in the future. But even with the sneak peek, it remains to be seen how this new concept will be received at the Paris Motor Show. You’ll have to stay tuned for the critics to take a look and give us more details on exactly what Lexus accomplished with their newest concept.
