From the looks of this new concept model from Smart, the ForStars looks as if it is going to focus its design and engineering to appeal to small crossover fans. This new version from Daimler is scheduled to debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show which starts in a just a few more days. The ForStars concept model is being labeled by Smart as a “Sports Utility Coupe” and looks as if it has the ground clearance and cargo space to help back that claim up.

Dr. Annette Winkler, Smart Boss says, “The smart is Europe’s most inexpensive series-produced electric car. Not only is it emission-free and fast, it is also possible to conveniently set the perfect interior temperature in advance with a smartphone, and it is simple to charge at a domestic socket. What’s more, with its powerful battery and integrated projector the Smart ForStars can transform any grey backyard into an animated open-air cinema.”

From the sounds of it Smart is heading way into the future with the ForStars model. With integrated Smart Phone features and the projector that will turn the car into a cinema event at anytime you feel like providing the entertainment, it also has a roof made of transparent glass panels to offer a panoramic view of the stars. Both the projector and the view contributed to the name “ForStars”. Of course this vehicle is designed for driving and enough power is promised to boost this buggy at a comfortable speed of around 130 miles per hour with enough go power to keep up with everyday traffic with ease.

While we can’t see the interior yet, it is supposed to be as dynamic and lifelike as the exterior looks and is created to be customizable for driver preferences including high quality materials, uniquely styled seats and an integrated rear view camera that allows driver to see what’s going on behind them.
