The following video produced by Motor Trend will give you the low down on the new Tesla Model S, and as they say, “It may very well be the most important new car since the Model T”, it’s all you need to know that they are duly impressed. Overall the Model S is being compared as the 2.0 Version of what new cars should be. Whether that is entirely accurate or not is probably up for personal opinion as many are scoffing at the $90,000 plus base model price, while the critic in the video is referring to it as a bargain.

As you can see from the Tesla Model S exterior, it is an attractive, if not overly eye catching ride. But it isn’t made to compete with the top luxury or sports models, it’s built for fuel efficiency and saving the planet and advertises a range of 300 miles on its 85-kWh lithium ion battery pack. A less expensive version of this will come later that will offer a smaller range. This batter pack is teamed up with enough horses to give you a comfortably assertive feel on the road with 362 horsepower available in the Signature version. Because it’s electric, those horses are just a whisper of sound and will cruise up to top speeds of 100 miles per hour. You can expect to go 0 to 60 in under four seconds if you opt for the largest available battery pack.

The interior of the Tesla Model S is comfortable, although the headroom is described by some drivers as being somewhat “pinched”. The seating is padded enough to offer a pleasant commute though and the touch screen is said to be like having an IPad glued to your console, only much better looking than that. You can take a look at the video though to get a better idea of the particulars.
