Starbucks is having nightmares over this latest news coming from Italy’s automakers. They have successfully added the world’s first caffeine providing machine for your car and will be hosted in the Fiat 500L. This coffee machine, a “True Espresso Coffee Machine”, plugs into its own power source in the front console. It’s a great quality, actual brew it up and pour it coffee maker. How it works is to fill the base with water and put it into the center console cupholder. The heating element boils the water which steps the coffee containing pods in the top of the machine. Within mere seconds, you have a boiling cup of coffee to liven up your commute. You might want to avoid adding cream and sugar while you are on the road though, or add the sugar into the water before making it just to save your safe driver’s record.

Fiat teamed up with world famous Italian coffee makers, Lavazza to develop the “Coffee Experience” option for the new Fiat 500L and we imagine other upcoming models in the future. The kit comes with car coffee mugs, a spoon holder and sugar container. As you know, all new fangled goodies always come with the high sticker price at its inception though and this coffee set is no different. You can expect to pay around $300 to add this option to your car. If it keeps you for all those additional Starbucks stops though, that $300 could very well pay for itself in a shorter amount of time than what you may want to admit.

Unfortunately for us Sue Happy Americans though, we might not see this make showing up in the states anytime soon. Apparently Fiat needs to be assured that burn lawsuits will not put them into bankruptcy before offering this caffeine paraphernalia device on our shores. It is on board for sales in Ireland by the end of this year.
