Your Car and iPhone/Smartphone Become One
The Devium Dash is an aftermarket iPhone/Smartphone integration that uses a unique magnetic CNC-aluminum faceplate. This faceplate is used to dock your iPhone or smartphone straight into the dashboard of your vehicle. It eliminates many of the issues that other aftermarket products have such as limiting usability of your smartphone or iPhone. There is also no need to struggle with a tangled mess of cords or Bluetooth that sucks the battery. The Devium Dash is created to be simple to use by swiping your screen to quickly send voice texts, access GPS functions or play music among other capabilities.
The Devium Dash allows for a video pass though so drivers can use their smartphone or iPhone to play video on external monitors. Two included preamps for the front and rear subwoofers, and 4x50w of power creates some sweet sounding audio. The best part of it is that it charges your smartphone or iPhone while you are using it, so you can enjoy it without worrying about running out of juice so quickly.
Creator and Owner of the Devium Dash, Paul Lizer said “I saw a fragmented marketplace when it came to integrating smartphones into car stereos. So I thought why not develop a product where the smartphone is the interface and give the customer a platform they’re already familiar with.”
The first of the Devium Dash aftermarket products will be available early summer of this year. This first production is only compatible with the iPhone 4 and 4S. Plans are already underway to create products that will be compatible with other smartphones. Currently to purchase one, you actually make an investment into the company through KickStarter. KickStarter is a web-based capital-raising service. This investment gives you the Devium Dash at a $50 discount of the retail price scheduled when the Dash starts selling this summer.
